YES i believe spanking your kids if the goverment , teachers, police and who ever else wouldnt try and tell you how to disaplen your kids parents and kids would be a lot better off and there wouldnt b as many mean *** kids out in this world

Yes, my parents spanke me when I was a kid, and in my opinion it was an effective way of teaching me. I hold no grudges to them for doing so and I do think that there is no way I would've gotten the message of what the boundaries for proper behavior were using other ways of punishment.

Yes, but it goes further than that. From spanking, it goes to the "talking/time out" stage; then the "tallking/grounding/withdrawl of priviledges" stage. My wife and I have been consistent with our four children. Today we couldn't be prouder of them. They are well-liked, responsible, respected leaders in their schools (1 college, 2 high school, 1 middle school) and in the community.

I do I think that kids nowadays need discipline, I think that's the reason a lot of the kids misbehave now because they know there aren't really any consequences to what they do

Spare the rod, spoil the child.
Discipline is not abuse and discipline can be more effective if you get creative.
