Canadian singer Lukas Rossi was this morning crowned the winner of reality television competition Rockstar: Supernova.
Rossi won out over Australian singer Toby Rand, who was the favourite to win the show. Dilana and Magni were also in the top four.
Supernova - a supergroup featuring former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke - was formed for the television show and began a world-wide hunt for a singer.
Kiwi singer Jason Kerrison, from the rock band Op-Shop, made it through the audition stage but was axed shortly after.
Rossi is described on the Rockstar: Supernova website as a gifted singer with a "Jeff Buckley meets Freddie Mercury" style.
Supernova will now record an album and embark on a 28-city tour of the US and Canada.

First Magni was cut; then Toby, leaving Dilana and Lukas as the final 2 - Lukas prevailed as the winner. Dilana was invited to go on tour with them.

it is not over particularly yet. Tuesday evening became overall performance and balloting evening. We had performances by utilising Toby, Lucas, Dilanna and Magni. Plus we had Ryan come again as a fan widespread and sing. Wednesday evening is whilst the singer would be picked. i'm hoping for Toby. :-)
