Well it sounds crazy, but crazy is one of my favorite expressions of art! Art is magic, magic takes faith; and I've owned enough cars over the years that seemed to keep running as if by magic not to give a degree of credence to this concept. Even this coal fired computer that I'm clickity clacking away upon to answer this question seems to be somewhat charmed, it really should have given up the ghost ages ago!! I'm just keeping it going by laying hands upon the modem once in a while, and I do sprinkle pixie dust over it too. Mind You the pixies are getting a little feed up, they keep telling me to call Dell!! Now my phone is an excellent example, just by the sheer power of will alone does it continue to function. I've dropped it, kicked it; and on one occasion when my estranged and thankfully soon to be X wife was particularly vicious I've tossed it away from me; the darn thing was sparking!! Yet it lives still, having survived all that. So then, I'd say yes; it is possible since I seem to be doing it. It's a crazy old world Molly, I'm in my element by golly! LOL, take care.

I don't know but for the last week I have been sick with a virus and my car won't start either. Also the refrigerator is clacking and light bulbs are burning out. And this 'coincidence' has happened before when I am sick. Do my machines depend on me being in a high energy state?

I had a car once that only ran because it was a Chevy and it loved me.
I think you are talking about those moments when your object dies and if you beg, coax, threaten and sweet-talk it enough, it will start to work again, sometimes without ever another problem.
I don't know if it's bonding or healing, but something happens.

Its an inanimate object. It doesn't heal. It niether brings nor takes life. No.

Only if "faith healing" includes the liberal use of epoxy or soldering irons.

The word "healing" implies a living thing. So, no.

Not saying its impossible, but it sounds really silly, dont do it unless you cant otherwise fix it.
