I keep hearing that nothing has been found to this date to show that a large passenger plane hit the Pentagon. If it didn't, then where did it go?

Don't believe everything you hear and read on the internet (except for what I say, haha). There WAS debris, it WAS a passenger jet, not a missile and 9-11 was NOT a US or Isreali government conspiracy.
Popular Mechanics has a great site debunking all of the ridiculous conspiracies out there about 9-11. Check it out:

Look, even if you were to believe such a silly conspiracy theory, commercial airplanes would not go unaccounted for. If they have already identified the exact postion of whatever particular flight the plane that crashed into the pentagon was, and it never landed in an airport, then what other explanation could there be?

The plane flew after it hit the Pentagon to the Bermuda triangle and hid in a big vortex there.

Structural engineers on the scene picked up plane fragments and they were entered into evidence . You must have heard nothing but conspiracy theories . There is a new book out by Popular Mechanics that debunks the 9/11 myths .

It did - they have pictures of the debris around the Pentagon when they were still putting out the fires.

Given that aircraft are built as light as possible without compromising strength and given that the aircraft was going at around 500 mph it was simply shredded. All that was left were small bits of aluminum and plastic, nothing recognizable as an aircraft. This is what usually happens unless the aircraft happens to be travelling at or almost parallel to the ground at time of impact. There may have been sizeable chunks of the engines left since they're considerably 'beefier" than the rest of the aircraft, ie. denser.

Part of it was lying on top of the bodies of two people I knew who were on the plane. I hope that is a good enough answer for you.

There was debris from the plane, but most of it was incinerated when the fuel burned out.

When an airplane made of thin sheet metal, loaded with fuel, collides with a building at 300 miles per hour, it disintegrates. Turns to powder. Gone.

i believe that it "melted"since it was metal in a very hot fire..
