I just watched an interview with the women school teacher that had sex with her 14 yo student, she acted so ho hum about it, it made me sick, I've seen more remorse from a waiter spilling water on a customer than this Women showed, but she is getting very little jail time, Why is it OK for a women to have sex with a underage kid, but when a man does it all heck breaks loose? I'm not condoning any of it, but why when a women does it, she gets a slap on the wrist? Is this what our society has come to? Just a thought. What do you all think?

I agree with you 100%,Bass.It's another example of a double standard. I've heard stories and even jokes of Dads hiring a prostitute to give their 14-16 year old sons their first sexual experience, and noone seems to think anything of it.Yet,they would be outraged and appalled if he'd do the same for his 14-16 year old daughter,as they should be,but it's also very wrong for the son.
Simply put, wether it be male or female,it is statuatory rape, and should be punished equally.

I have wondered the same thing. I have come to the conclusion that with women, society views it as questionable morals. By the way, I have heard so many men ask where were the teachers like these when they were in high school!

It's wrong. jail time SHOULD be equal...and so should the reaction of the public. Society is conditioned to believe that adolescent boys "want" it and that you can't rape a male. Very untrue. Men will have to speak up and admit things and share about this though, in order for people to realize that believing this sort of thing is as bad as saying that a woman was "asking for it" by wearing suggestive clothing (or other such crap excuses for rape).

*--Unfortunately, the courts are going easier on women than men, and this type of skewed behavior seems to be on the rise. It seems to be more fashionable to let the women off with less punishment.
*--The news media also seems to have a lustful fascination with this and other kinds of perversion, and feel it is their job to find it and draw it out in public for as long as they can, at times using incredibly graphic (and unnecessary) details.
*--I am personally disgusted with the fact that these female predators are not considered and called pedophiles, which they are - one need not be a habitual offender to be considered a pedophile.
*--Beware - they are many repeat offenders in this arena. Accompany your child into public rest rooms, since perverts are active in these areas.

But the fact is, she did get jail time. I think it's because society has a harder time seeing that women can predators as well, but things are changing. I hope in the future, the jail time will be equal.

I saw that interview also and she is so flat emotionally she needs to be locked from the rest of us. She seems to have no emotional connection to reality! She made me sick! She has the IQ of a toadstool!

I think that its more ok because the underaged boy enjoys it more. Girls take longer to develop (sexualy) than boys do, which is really... irking... but still, i don't think the boy is as effect as the girl. That and more times then not, the underaged girl wasn't really with it, she might have been coached or forced into it.

I don't think that anyone thinks it's ok. it's just not as common, so people's reactions will be differant.
