Preaching is somehow not done among Hindus. If you are referring Sat sang or Harikatha, yes. That has been popular. But preaching like a Christian preacher, is some how not seen. That too, preaching on vedic philosophy is unique and it is a good idea. I welcome it. In my view, you need to learn Vedas and Upanishads, if you have not done already. That is the basic requirement. You have to read other materials also. Read and contemplate about life. Knowledge about other religions and their theology is also necessary to have a broader view about God and what many people feel about Him. You must a clear world vision. On top of it, you need to believe in what you preach. Other wise, you will sound hollow, when you preach what you do not believe in yourself. Do not ever preach hatred, in the name of religion and God. Do not be critical of others' faith. You may try to lay stress on the universality of God and on the evil of being dogmatic in our religious practises. Good Luck.
Suddenly, while answering this question, I feel that I also should become a preacher. But, I am not a Vedic Scholar. But with what little I know about religion and God, and with the zeal and enthusiasm to preach to mankind the virtues of leading a godly life, I think I should be able to do that.

First, you need to learn about Vedic philosophy. Baby steps.

why would you wana be a vedic philosophic? i don't know if you get any money out of it. for interest would be fine.... but career move is kinda over ambitious wouldn't u think?

Just get started - if u have the right kinda moolah, hire a management agency to 'market', 'package' and 'position' your services.

First you should understand life clearly. Then start learning about the process. Before you start preaching Please check if you are following them in your life. Then join a mutt / or class dedicate yourself totally, if you are good they will appoint you and give you a job.
