I was wondering if I should use expensive "water mark" paper instead of the traditional plain white paper for my philosophy writing sample needed for admissions to graduate school. Is that going over board or is that what one does to say that he's serious about a particular school? Appreciate any feedback!

Finished graduate school, and quite honestly- they're looking at content and not surface material. Use your expensive paper, but know it's the words, not the paper it's printed on that are making the impact.

Use O.P.C paper. It cost about $300.00 for a box of 50 sheets. It has gold trim and gold specks through out the paper. The gold in real 99.99% pure gold. Oh the paper is special order and is not in stock. You have to order it 6 to 8 weeks before you need it. You will make a expression with this paper. O.P.C (Olsen Paper Company) are the only ones that has this kind of paper.

Philosophy is a nice hobby like stamp collecting, but don't waste four years of your time and your chance to get a real college education.
