Penn Foster is accredited.

Penn Foster says they are accredited- are they? If so, no problem- just make sure that you have a good extracurricular background, and have taken some sort of standardized test (ACT, SAT, etc).

I also think if you're still in HS, to see if you'd be able to go to a public school instead.

Is the high school accredited? If it isn't, you won't find a college to take it. You'd be better off doing a GED if Penn Foster isn't accredited. If it is accredited, than any college should consider the transcript.

Since it is an accredited school, according to its website, just about any college would accept its diploma. The problem is that a lot of more competitive schools can't just accept a diploma alone, no matter what school it is from. They need SAT scores and something which would give them the equivalent of a grade point average.
