It would depend on how hot and how cold, and of course a bunch of other factors such as your immune system's resiliency and the presence of various pathogens in either room.
Many pathogens do thrive in warmer conditions, but there are plenty that can survive in cooler air as well, certainly long enough to infect a person.
Both hot and cold environments can cause a supression in your body's attempts to fight disease off.
Basically, the information you've given really isn't enough to make a sound judgement. Though I suppose a hot stangnant-air room might cause spontaneous hyperthermia that could lead to a feverish condition and dehydration as well.

Hot room for sure. Cause you are talking about old air, which is a breeder for air borne sickness'
Best to keep all rooms in the home at room temperature, and have clean air coming through with a window open a bit.

technically, the temperature doesn't create the sickness.... It's the bacteria in the air that does it. But the cool air most of the times carries the bacteria which makes us assume that the cold weather causes sickness....

It all depends if bacteria is present and if ur immune system can handle it. The environment as u described is where only certain bacteria can survive. So really it is all a kind of luck and chance added with how healthy u are. (:>))

sickness like the common cold is not spread by hot or cold, it is actually the virus in the air and on things you touch that others who are ill touch, when you touch what they have or breath there " air droplets" in is what actaully gets you ill.

I say both, one you get sick because your body temp can't fight off infection, another your body is too hot and a breeding ground for germs.
