Trinity College offers classes around the country. I have worked with some of their graduates and have been impressed with their knowledge. I believe it is one of the best programs, and it's not as expensive as a lot of them. Clayton College also offers a distance learning course. I have heard good things about their program, as well; but they are more expensive.

There a few different routes to take in this field, but honestly, I would really do the research before you go into this. Herbalism is interesting, and can be helpful, but I hear it is a hard field to find work in. And of course opening your own business is work...the hardest kind. It would most likely be best combined with other degrees or certificates. Maybe I am wrong, but I am in the alternative medicine field and it just seems to be in lower demand right now. Maybe you could go into massage therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, PT, etc...as well as herbalism. Good luck with everything!
