First use the distributive property to multiply out the right side of the equation.
8=12c+20

Then subtract 20 from both sides
-12=12c

Finally, divide both sides by 12
-1 = c

Hey Not a problem ! Hope this helps!!

8= 4(3c+5)

8 = 12c + 20

8 - 20 = 12c

-12=12c

c= -1

First you need to multiply 4 times (3c+5) then you need to pass 20 to the other side substracting, then you pass the 12 dividing and that's all!!
