Is it worth spending 300-400 dollars on a ring you might wear for a year or so, just to be replaced by a College ring? would you wear both? Are there times you wouldnt wear one at all?

No. I bought one when I graduated and I haven't worn it since then. That's been 23 years now.

Actually, my parents asked me the same thing. I opted to spend the money on a very nice "good" ring rather than a High School or College ring. It's lasted me the last 27 years and I still get compliments on it. You being a gentleman may want to think about what kind of ring you're willing to wear for a long period of time. Good luck.

NO NO NO. Honestly if you are gonna get a ring do it after you are all done with college but even then its just eh..i don't know. They are not as cool as you'd think. I, however, would totally use that money to buy something else to commemorate the HS graduation and even the college one. Even another ring..one that doesn't scream "I am done with HS!!". Something you can wear all the time, whenever and when you look at it, it will still remind you of all your accomplishments.

It is about the honor. Every time you look at that ring you will feel that you have accomplished something good. Wear them both. In college wear your high school and when you graduate college wear that one.

Not if you're going to college. I wore my HS ring for a few years, gave it to few girlfriends, then it lived in my desk drawer after that.

I got a real class ring when i was graduating college, which I kept and wore often. I lost in a house fire and never replaced it, but I've thought about it a few times.

Depending on how personal yours is, it could Possibly be worth it. I ended up getting one and only spent about $260 on it. The decals and engravings, if they mean something to you, could make it more treasurable. A college ring would be more "not worth it" than a high school ring.
I hopefully plan on wearing mine for a while after i graduate. I am, however, partially regretting getting mine. I do wear it everyday now, but thats only because i am in school.

I'm not going to buy one. Everyone buys them, wears them for a month, then they get knocked down the drain. I wouldn't spend 300 dollars on a souvenir of my school.

i wore my HS ring for maybe 6 months. I think they are not worth more than 100 bucks. I payed 250 for mine and never really wore it. now i really won't wear it cause i am 24. I don't even know where it is. What a waste of money.

They are a BIG rip off. Now look at all the people you know. How many people over 20 wear their High School class ring?

Other then loosers.

In my opinion no, it just depends on what you want to do with it. Or how much your college experience meant to you. I have a letterman's jacket from High School and it's basically taking up space in my closet. I'm not going to ever use it.....ya know. When I have kids, they are definitely not going to want to wear it. In my eyes it's not impressive and they are not modern looking which that's my taste. The big ole jewel in the middle...uh yeah, not my cup of tea. Good Luck!

Nope. I wore my ring for about 6 mos. after I bought it and I've been out of high school for 7 years now and haven't so much as looked at it. Save your money and put it towards your first apt or college or something. :) :)
