I went on a first date with someone. They were really into me and the conversation. Complimented me a couple of times. And really looked at me. But every now and then it looked as if they were glancing at other girls just a little here and there. Is this normal or do you think this is a bad sign?

Men are men. They will always look. Get to know him before you pass judgement. If he's persisant and it bothers you, you can pull out before it gets serious.

I think it could be a bad sign. If you already feel a wierd feeling about that then imagine when you've been dating awhile and all the formalities are gone. I think its normal that people look...but, come on, not obviously in front of the person you're with. Listen to your gut.

He's a guy He is gonna take those little glances for as long as he is still breathing. As long as it is not overt or really offensive it is OK because that is what guys do, even the really good ones, They all look. as long as that is all it is, why should you care. Don't make a mountain out of an ant hill cause this ain't even big enough for a mole hill

Does not sound good to me that he was looking around at other women. Especially on a first date. Now was he looking around during lulls in the conversation? That would be different. Mention it to him and clear the air.

Could be that your conversations were taking a turn towards self? Were you talking more about yourself and your past than asking questions about your date?
