You have to find some cooperative dancers and choreograph a dance. Tape it down, and personally go to the dance industry company in the country that you're in, whose address you can find easily through the internet. Bring your recorded tape personally there and present it to those directors there... If they find it satisfactory, they'll include you into the dance choreographing industry and give you a degree... Then, they'll let you choreograph a dance and prove to them that you're good.

You will then have to undergo choreography courses. Judging by your performance in those courses, you will be awarded conducts. When you've reached your highest conduct, the dance industry will aid you in opening up a dance choreography business, and they'll pay for all of your funds in opening the business...

You'll then become a full-fledged dance choreographer...

It's pretty hard work, eh?

First just being a good dancer is not enough. You have to trained in how to break down dance steps and how to show others how to follow a set beat. Then you have to learn about pairing and matching steps to the style of music and dance you want. Half of what those artist do in their videos is a mix of pop, hip hop and in Ciara's case a little Latin. You can take classes at most dance schools that will show you the basics of teaching dance to others. I've been doing choreography for about 4 years and it took me about a year before I could actually work with other people. I have been a dance sense I was 7 and I'm here to tell you, learn more styles and learn them well. Videos and artists are changing their styles so fast now that a good knowledge of different forms of dance will really move you to the head of the pack as far as choreographers go. Good luck!

If you want to be a serious choreographer you need to study as many dance forms as possible. Some dance schools actually teach courses on choreography styles and notation styles. I offered it for my dancers when I taught. The notation part is what takes the time and talent. Start by choreographing some basic moves for you and some fellow dancers and figure out how to stage the piece. Ask your instructor for advise and help. You need to learn proper names of steps as well as proper spelling. Go to the library....there are many books on dance as well as books on choreography. The biggest thing you need to do - is JUST DO IT! Good luck!

Just because you can dance, doesn't mean you can teach. Have you ever even taken a dance class?!?! It sounds like all you know is music videos, which isn't all that Hip Hop is. You need to take a real dance class and see how it is structured before you even start to think about teaching. You DO NOT need a degree to teach. NONE of the choreographers for music videos have degrees (I have taken class from most of them).

Start/organize a dance group. SInce you're the boss, you can choreograph for them. It may be a good idea to get some formal training/education in dancing, if you consider it as a future career.
