The Pill Book Guide to Natural Medicine by Murray says not to take it with benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, Ativan, etc.), but says side effects are unknown becuz of no studies. Wikpedia may list some info; my reference is several years old.

GABA is related to the new drugs Neurontin and Lyrica. You might look them up on Yahoo search engine for a comparison.
