Im looking to buy a laptop and I found some deals on ebay but some only have the shared memory for video. Wondering if i can add a good video card with good memory later

yes but i think you sould just buy one witha good one inside because a laoptop is harder to upgrade than a desktop

Actually YES, this is now possible, but with a very extreme condition, almost NO company manufactures them (I only know of 2, Dell and Alienware [which now has been bought out by dell]) and you MUST buy the new graphics card from the SAME MANUFACTURE, also they are very expensive, both the laptops and the graphics cards.

Ya of cause it can. But normally most of the laptop is using shared memory as video memory. If want, it will be pricy.
Here is my recommendation, go for ASUS. Such as A8, because its come with the memory card, nVidia Go. Thats good and cool....
