Not a total waste of time but it will still be difficult. Better to go than to not go. Still don't expect people to jump to hire you. You will have to work your axe off to get a good job.

Absolutely not. The biggest reason for you to go to college is to show that you have turned your life around since committing that robbery. If they see that you led a bad life, but have now changed dramatically (just going to prison doesn't show that, because you didn't have a choice), you might be seen in an even more positive light than if you had never done anything wrong. The only suggestion, though, is that you look toward a career unrelated to money. You may have trouble getting a job handling the money if you were once convicted of stealing in any form.

Going to college will probably be a really good thing for you. Most colleges don't use prior records as a reason to exclude a new student. However, you will probably be limited as to what you can major in and what career you can choose. For example I don't think you can do anything that involves children or law (early childhood education or criminal justice). But I would talk to an academic advisor at the college you want to attend before applying.

Dude you need to decide whether you are going to commit or not! In your next question you ask if it is too late to drop classes b/c something came up.
I am by no means being harsh , just straight up. A felony is a big thing, but if you flip it around and prove that you can stay focused and commited and succeed....as an employer that is a huge plus. I hope you stay and go for it...people make mistakes but they can also make up for it!!!! Good Luck!

Going to college would be the most important thing that you do ever in your life, regardless of your past. This will make up for everything and put you in a different and better light for the future. Good Luck!

Going to college is never a bad idea. If you go to college and get good grades it will help employers to see that you have put your past behind you. If you do not go you will have an even harder time finding a job.

I would say definitely not - going to college (and getting good grades!) would show an employer that you can be responsible, and it would be easier to convince them that the robbery is "in your past" and you can be trusted. Good luck!
