Where's the hate and the murder coming from? I in my 49 years have never seen Canada like this. I don't like to see us Canadians copy-catting the US.

I dont know where you're from, but unfortunately Montreal isn't the only city that has faced such tragedy.
Montreal is a very tolerant and peaceful city, full of life, not death...and why this happened is beyond me...just to clarify though, the gunman wasn't a teenager, he was a 25 yr old man...which to be honest is even more puzzling...what the hell can he have against a pre-university institution??!
What I dont understand is, that even with our tight gun laws, this happened! How and where did this man get this rifle?
It is shocking and traumatic...I just hope that this never reoccurs...how many more times are young innocent lives going to be lost this way? Even the one death confirmed today is too much!!!!
I extend my deepest sympathies to all families that have a wounded son or daughter...May they get well as soon as possible...
I'm also relieved to know that police got to this guy as fast as they were able to...They were saying how this was a new procedure and that in the past it was not their duty to go after the gunmen themselves...Who knows how many more people would have been shot if police didnt take this guy down!
I'm just happy that the people I know at Dawson are safe and ok...

I am horrified as well!!
Nothing like that ever happens in Australia!!
So it is always shocking to hear about it on the news..
Its teenagers with angst... dying to get attention because they are sad depressed idiots,
Well that is not excuse.. you Will have people say oh.. they were suffering depression..
Well too bad, Depression is nothing compared to what the students of that school are going to have to deal with for the rest of their lives.
I hope the gunman was shot by police, and did not get the satisfaction of taking his own life. dirty scum!

3 times in 17 years is 3 times too many, but I wouldn't call that a common occurrence.
It was a horrible senseless act, and we will probably never really know why it happened.
The last 2 had actual motives, albeit crazy, unjustified ones, but this time was just random.
Wonderful world we live in....
