Yes, i'm aware there is a legitimate svchost. However, a processed called svchost just ate up 100% cpu. I ran a search and found a svchost.exe in the file
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\1157871041\ee

Delete it? If so, how should I go about it?

The svchost.exe file is located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. In other cases, svchost.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm.

Get some virus protection. I like Norton, but tests show that McAfee was actually better than Norton Antivirus 2007. Anyway, get some spyware protection and whatnot as well. I've got McAfee Anti-virus, Webroot Spysweeper, Spyware doctor, and 2 other programs on my home computer. Haven't had a virus in 6 months. Download Hijack This!, too. Copy the log results to a computer geek page (do a Google for hijack this! log) and people there can help you. You can also Google for a Hijack This! auto analyzer, which analyzes the log quiickly, but you have to know your computer pretty well or you risk deleting stuff you need.
