Not at all. It's about someone who has gone cold inside...or died inside...and there hasn't been anything worthwhile in her life until she found this guy...so now she wants to feel alive but she doesn't know how, so she's asking him to "breathe life into her" and make her feel alive.
She aint the only one...lots of people feel that way...life has a way of taking away all the good and just leaving you cold...but you shouldn't let it.
Here's the lyrics for those who want to ponder it! :~)
Bring Me to Life
how can you see into my eyes, like open doors
leading you down into my core
where I've become so numb
without a soul
my spirit sleeping somewhere cold
until you find it there and lead it back home
[Chorus]
(wake me up) wake me up inside (i can't wake up) wake me up inside
(save me) call my name and save me from the dark
(wake me up) bid my blood to run (i can't wake up) before I come undone
(save me) save me from the nothing I've become
now that I know what I'm without, you can't just leave me
breathe into me and make me real
bring me to life
[Chorus]
bring me to life
I've been living a lie
there's nothing inside
bring me to life
frozen inside without your touch, without your love, darling
only you are the life among the dead
all this time I can't believe I couldn't see
kept in the dark, but you were there in front of me
I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems
got to open my eyes to everything
without a thought, without a voice, without a soul
don't let me die here
there must be something more
bring me to life
[Chorus]
I've been living a lie
there's nothing inside
bring me to life
Frankly it's a horrid tune...I don't like her.

I suppose it could mean whatever you want it to mean. That's the good thing about music. It could mean something to you and something totally different to me.
Personally, Im not really a big Evanescense fan so I havent thought much about it, but now that you mention it--i will.

It's more like threatening a guy to stay with her. The part 'now that I know what I'm without, you can't just leave me' shows threat. It has a nice tune anyway.

no it doesnt. it shows the pain of someone on the verge of commiting suicide crying out to God to take away their pain....basically she had tried to make herself better, but it only made things worse, so now she is giving her last hope to God.

i thought it was a goth kind of thing... like I -dont- want -to -die unless -you- are -with -me? I have an ex b/f and he is goth/vamp,and he loves that song, and i wish i were with him.

"Bring Me To Life"
(feat. Paul McCoy)
how can you see into my eyes like open doors
leading you down into my core
where I’ve become so numb without a soul my spirit sleeping somewhere cold
until you find it there and lead it back home
(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I’ve become
now that I know what I’m without
you can't just leave me
breathe into me and make me real
bring me to life
(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I’ve become
Bring me to life
(I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside)
Bring me to life
frozen inside without your touch without your love darling only you are the life among the dead
all this time I can't believe I couldn't see
kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
I’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
got to open my eyes to everything
without a thought without a voice without a soul
don't let me die here
there must be something more
bring me to life
(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I’ve become
(Bring me to life)
I’ve been living a lie, there’s nothing inside
(Bring me to life)
I think it's about the loneliness in a person's soul. Without love, it's like we're numb and we're sleeping deeply. When love comes, we're back to life.
