my wife just fell off my boat, i'd help her, but the water looks really cold... what should i do?

Take something and make sure she stays down, that would be merciful. Remember if the water looks too cold for you to jump into, Its a sure thing that she feels it.
All boats carry cement.
Go to the Cement locker and get two buckets, fill them up, and hand them to her, she will be glad to get them.
give her rope, she will tie the buckets to her legs.
If she asks for help help her tie them on.
Just lean over the boat, there is no need for both of you getting wet.
Another thing, ask her If she would rather be unconscious.
she is sure to say, "please hit me over the head real hard, because I am getting cold".
Surely you can find an oar, if not hit her over the head with another bucket, there are always three cement buckets on boats.
One thing I am going to tell you though, tell everybody else that you don't know what happened to her, because you know that everybody else has a dirty mind, and won't believe that you are only trying to help.
If you need me for an alibi, I will tell them that you were over my house committing adultery with my wife, while I watched.
I will only do this because I like you so much I could puke.
