While Democrats like to claim that Thomas Jefferson founded them - the real name of his party was the Democratic-Republican Party. Sounds like equal billing to me.
The DNC was founded in 1848 & the Republican Party was founded in 1854 in Wisconsin. You were here before us by 6 years & a united party beat us both.
God bless America & the Republicans will never invite the terrorists to destroy it to prove a wrong point.

GOP stands for Grand Old Party, Abe Lincoln was a republican. I'd say we've been here longer than democrats, but that doesn't matter. Why do you want half the American population to leave? This is all of our country, and you are ill informed, sorry.

actually it was a mix of both which is why we came up with the system of checks and balances. It keeps bad ideas from getting through. Although with all 3 branches being republican now, we have onlly the senate to try and keep things balanced. If it goes republican a lot of really crappy legislation is going to be passed and enforced. And the same thing would happen if it was all democrats. My point is that they knew the debates would never end because they could see the liberal and conservatives among them arguing each side rationally. So they figured they should make the system only let things they agree on actually happen. So dude, your dream is terrible.

No not really! Lincoln was a Democratic Republican, which evolved into the republican party.
If you are so democratic , why can't you back up your president when he is trying to save your neck, Quit trying to save the terrorists. They don't deserve it! If it was all Democrats they were killing then it would be a different matter, You would be yelling your head off ( or they would want it) , You would want to get rid of them , no matter what the means to get information.
This war is against the Terrorists not Bush!

Hey Tofu...do a little research...you are equating conservatives with the GOP. I am asuming you mean the GOP to be the Republican Party. When the Republican Party was formed, they were more "liberal" than the Democrats who were for the status quo and state rights (i.e. the preservation of a thing called slavery).

Sorry to rain on your parade Jesus, but I felt it necessary to correct your inaccuracy.

How's this for ya...I am a Democrat...I think George Bush is one of the worst presidents we have had...

even with my being a liberal Democrat, I had to point you in the right direction...the truth about the birth of the GOP...

OH YEAH...you are right about one thing...the Democratic Party is older than the Republican Party.

If you were still the same DNC in idiology as then I would have no problem with you. But you are not. And I do. Go to France where you will be loved.

How many Republicans does it take to change a light bulb?
One to deny that a light bulb needs to be changed
one to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb needs to be changed
One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb.
One to arrange the invasion of a country rumored to have a secret stockpile of light bulbs
