I lost my wallet and I'm pretty sure it is in my house somewhere, but I just cannot find it.

First ask anybody else if they have seen it or would have any clues.

Then start thinking: Have you ever misplaced that item or any other item before? What are your habits? Are you very picky about how you handle certain kinds of things or what do you do when distracted by something else? No one knows better than you. Think back to the last time you saw it. Were you holding it? What time of the day? Who was with you? Where were you? What were you wearing? What were you doing? After you closed it, did you set it down someplace, put it in a pocket (which pocket)? After you saw it, then where did you go? Just retrace your entire day from that point forward.

Relax because you will find it. Go take a warm tub bath, sink down in it & relax. Think about the day.

Oh, were you in a crowded public place -- like on the bus where you could have been bumped? Do you find a slit or hole in your pocket where the wallet is kept? Could it have fallen out when you sat down someplace, has that ever happened, or is it possible?

I recently lost my keys for two weeks so I know what you are going through. I start in the back of the house and work my way forward. Go thru every drawer, cabinet, window sill, closet, feel all your clothes to see if it is in the pocket or caught in a sleeve, look in boots and shoes, car, take the sofas apart*, reach deep in the sofa frames, behind he washer, dirty clothes hampers, frig., I did all this except for one thing I didn't pull the sofa out and look behind it because how would keys end up there. Low and behold **KEYS WERE BEHIND SOFA! Oh well entire house can get organized by looking for keys or wallets. Keep checking to make sure no one is charging on your credit cards.

Retrace your steps, think about the last time you actually saw the wallet or used it. Go from there. Do you have a routine you place you wallet on a dresser or table each night. Did you pull something out to give to someone and you forgot?

You sound like DH, wallet, belt, KEYS, even his tooth cap LOL

OK assuming you already checked the couch cushions, under the couch, behind the radiator, dresser, nightstand, in the washing machine.

In the car between the seat and console?

Then you have to backtrack the last time you saw it. If you can't try to remember everything you did since you last came home, Walking room to room as you do it.

Good luck

If you're a man....you can run around the house turning everything upside down and muttering about the d*** kids touching your stuff all the time, and if the house wasn't such a pigsty you could find your stuff.

If you're a woman...it will be right where you left it.

I'm assuming you're a man, check the last pair of pants or jacket you wore, that's usually where it is.

When I miss something I pray to Osiris. Then I look around again, I usually find it in under a minute.
