I LOVE them, I laugh every time I see one...
but I'm also a Mac person who has experienced the PC problems, and has always preferred the Mac even while I've had PCs.

No, it's not easy to remain virus free if you're a PC user. Think of all the time you spend updating your anti-virus software and deleting spyware from your system. I've been using Mac for two years, and I have YET to see ONE virus. Ancient technology? That's Windows for you. It's the same old windows you've been using since the 80's. I have found every point made in those commercials to be true. Networking... easy. Photos... awesome. Movies... beautiful. Viruses... none. Crashes... none. Restarting... only after certain system updates. Plug & Play... truly Plug & Play, no drivers. People often forget, before Gates ripped off the original Mac's GUI, Apple OWNED the personal computer industry. Is it impossible for Apple to return to glory? No. I'd say it's more than likely, given the rapid advancement of OS X and other products like the iPod and coming iPhone. The iPod enjoys a 75% market share. iTunes is the 5th largest distributer of music, among online and physical distributers. You don't think Apple knows what it's doing? They're on top of the game, and Leopard is set to put Vista to SHAME. I'm proud to be a Mac owner. It's more than a computer, it's the belief that computers should do amazing things, without the need for a P.H.D. It's also about quality. Macs are beautiful machines. I feel that Apple takes a lot more pride in their products than other manufacturers.

Preface: If Mac were of the quality it once was & had unparallelled customer & third party support, I'd be ecstatic, but that is not the reality of Apple anymore.
1. I have Apple and see no reason to buy an Apple/PC computer. All of my expensive apps run on Apple. To buy a computer that runs both OSs, would be like having 50% of a full purchase.
2. Apple's customer support has not been up to par in the last four years. It's becoming no longer fun to use Mac, like it used to be.
3. If Apple wants to sell half PC, I can get a PC at a third of the cost of a Mac. Hard as it is, I have resigned myself to the fact that Apple is jumping ship.

It's just propaganda! Some people prefer MAC and most prefer PC. Just look at the defacto standard. Almost everyone is using a PC. That's a no brainer. I was given a MAC mini and I didn't like it. I am used to the functionality of a PC and there's nothing wrong with it. So to all the MAC users I wish you well and I hope you would understand why we use PC as well as we understand why you use a MAC. Just live and let live. Sheeeeessssshhhhh!

Is it just me or do those two remind you of an old Bill Gates vs a young Steve Jobs?
I think that pretty much says it all. I admit the commercials are witty and satirical and are cater towards the "iPod Generation" that doesn't know what to do with an "MP3 player" but being a little more tech-savvy than the average dude, it still doesn't make me want to buy a Mac just because they become cool with the kids. I would much rather build my own systems than buy a Mac.

i dont understand if there is any authentic solutions in right here, yet right here is a few random recommendations I actual have on the concern which i'm going to or won't have made up: -on an identical time as its authentic that many vista consumers are disenchanted, those mac commercials relatively exaggerate it. -the authentic actuality is mac os x 10.4 has been out for years and no person's complained approximately it, nor has any microsoft classified ads ever bashed it. -i do think of that xp is the appropriate os microsoft could ever come out with (its the only living house windows os i will use w/o complaining) yet having extensively utilized vista, i think of microsoft could have taken a extensive step backward. to no longer point out thier loss of originality or creativity. (the entitre interface copies the mac interface all the way down to the comparable colours) -and to the guy who stated vista eighty million, leopard 2 million, could i basically say leopard's been out for decrease than some weeks, and 10.4 is so good, no longer all look to choose/choose it. vista has been out particularly some months, and that i've got a feeling a number of those copies could have been back or trashed in choose of xp. i could.

They have some humor but since it is a MAC commercial it is seriously spun in the Mac's favor. There are many mis-informations about the PC.

They are stupid. They do have some humor, I must admit, but they are untrue. The most recent one I've seen is the power cord one... wow, your power cords have magnets or whatever... big deal. How many people actually trip over their power cords?
I have a PC and it's as pretty as a MAC and works great =)
Oh, and also, on the virus thing. If you have a PC it's easy to be virus free if your not a total dumbass.

I think they're funny, but Macs are still toys in my eyes. The commercials are definitely geared towards a Mac users thinking pattern. The most blatent error they make is comparing current Mac systems with ancient Windows technologies lol.
