Without a hassle? Ha! I'm glad you posted this before actually trying it. NOOOooo! Take advice from a flight attendant - don't have anything in your luggage or on your person that will cause suspicion. Ever heard of the phrase "where there's smoke, there's fire?" To a customs agent, "where's theres bong, there's pot!" They will search every nook and cranny of your luggage and person. HASSLE... I guess if you ENJOY being detained, possible cuffed and shackled, and strip searched inside and out, GO FOR IT, DUDE!

You can if they are unused. If used, they would only be allowed if there was tobacco residue (not marijuana). Just wrap it very carefully and roll it up in a pair of jeanes and pack it in the centre of your bag. My mum and I have brought back many pieces. There are legal and cannot be confiscated unless they have been used for illicit substances.

Only if it is for tobacco use only. I wouldn't try it - there are head shops you can by those in the USA legally. Don't mess with the customs agents - they don't have much of a sense of humor.

Yes you can. Just make sure it is unused! No residue or anything on it! You don't have to pay customs on items unless they are $500 or more or total $500 all together.

I don't see why not, as long as it's new and unused. Pack it in your checked luggage, and wait til you get to the states to buy the bowl & stem, if it makes you nervous.

It is true that you will be hassled if they find it. However, if it's not metal and you wrap it up they might not even notice it.

yes as long as it has not been used. And you might have to state it is for tobacco use only. Good smoking, pot head!

Yes, you can.
However, be prepared to pay customs and I'd bet you'll have all you belongings searched.
