I don't know if this will mean anything since I'm not into anime... but I have seen a variety, so maybe it means more?
Ghost in the Shell is by far my favorite. I was stunned by how beautiful the story was and it's animated equivilant of cinematography.
Final Fantasy has lovely animation of course but isn't really anime in my mind.
