You cant beat the price. They've made recent improvements to it as well, so I would believe they will continue to publish games for it for a long time.

No. It is not too late to buy a PS2, they are coming out with a new PlayStation so PS2 will probably be fairly cheap. PS2's are awesome especially if you have any PS1 games that you absolutely love and do not ever want to get rid of you can play them on PS2 so you don't have to switch back and forth!

No, the PS2 is still a viable system. Besides, the PS3 will cost roughly $600 and who knows when it will come out. I just bought a PS2 in June or so, so I say it's not too late.

PS3 is out in November. Xbox 360 is already a generation ahead of the PS2. Why would you buy an old technology?

no it's the perfect time to buy a ps2 for many reasons one being it's a lot cheaper than it was five years ago second there's a lot of great games for it like mortal kombat, mega man, tekken, madden, nba live, and many others look for them in a game shop like game crazy or eb games for great deals

yes it's way to late they aren't gonna be making new games for them very much longer.you need to just save your money and go next gen it will definetly be worth.especially since 360 and ps3 are backwards compatable so you can play older games on them too
