all of a sudden my keyboard started messing up and then my mouse and keyboard just stopped working. If I let it sit for hours on end then my mouse will start to work but as soon as I try to type anything it stops working again! Is this a virus?

After shutting down your computer, try unplugging and plugging back in your keyboard and mouse... Reboot and check...
If problem still exists, shut back down and try a different keyboard and mouse...
If problem STILL exists, take cpu in to get it checked out...

did you spill anything on your keyboard? do you eat while at the keyboard? there could be all sorts of stuff that has collected under the keys.

and about the mouse, if it's the kind with the ball in it, take the ball out and look at the rollers. clean off any crud that's collected on them and then put the ball back in with the cover.

if both of those are ok, check to see if they are hooked up correctly

try disconnecting the mouse and keyboard from ur computer then shutting ur computer down. then plug them both back in and turn the computer back on. Think about replacing the mouse and keyboard.

Not sure if it's a virus. Could just need defragging. Have you rebooted it? Turn it off, then back on, and see if that straightens it out. By the way, how did you manage to get to Yahoo to ask this question?
