Christopher learns about a terrible crime that has been committed by John and Bob. He has known both of these men for years and cares for them equally. Why, then, does he only report John to the authorities and not Bob?

They only logical would be that Bob may be a relative and they will not accept testimonmy from a relative or simply Bob is no longer alive?

His names happens to be Robert Christopher - so BOB is himself and he bascially rats on his friend.
