Iraq - no one's greeting our troops with "open arms and flowers" ala Donald Rumsfeld; the insurgency is NOT in its "final throes" ala Dick Cheney; and the death toll of American personnel has now surpassed the death toll of 9-11; civil war is looking more and more evident; and still NO WMD's which most of you might recall was the original motivation for going there
Homeland Security -- for the creation of a new department (bigger government), curtailing civil liberties, unwarranted wire-tapping, gathering of phone call records, and millions of dollars, the best the US can do is nab "the shoe bomber". At least the terror alert level is good for scaring folks and temporarily boosting Bush's crummy approval ratings
The Deficit (not that he notices or cares....he's what is becoming known as a credit card conservative....buy now, make tomorrow's generations pay instead)
