i posted a picture of the lead singer of pussycat dolls in my room, put my running shoes right below it.. haha.. i run on the treadmill almost everyday now.. you can do it your way, post your favorite soccer player or a big "soccer try-outs soon!!", then put your running shoes below it.. it'll help you remember the big day..
get some good music.. to help motivate you as well.
good luck on ur soccer try-outs

I know it is hard (I have played soccer for 8 years) but you have to think that you will be in shape and be able to keep up with the fast girls on your team. That's what motivated me. Just say you will pamper yourself on Sunday or Saturday if you run everyday of that week. Also get some good music or watch t.v. while running. Every time you watch t.v. you could be watching TV AND exercising.

THe best thing would be to find a friend who can motivate you and wants to get into shape as well, or you can just think everyday, of the benefits you will get from practicing your running, imagine how much more of a great player you will be, imagine the schoalships you can get for playin soccer, imagine all the fun, and imagine much more, YOU CAN DO IT, Happy Running ^_^

Only you can motivate yourself, truly.
A parent can lecture you, a sibling can tease you, a coach can yell at you, but only you have the ultimate say.
If you truly love the game, and want to play it at a high level, AND help your team to victory, you would choose fitness.
If you are more of a recreational type player, just want to play because your friends play, don't mind sitting the bench, then it is ok not to go out there and run fitness work-ups.

Listen to music. Hopefully you'll be running in you're neighborhood. It's harder to motivate yourself everyday if you want to drive somewhere "scenic." Time yourself once a week so that you can log your progress. Instead of running on Tuesdays & Thursdays go by bike one week, and then swim laps the next week. Keep swapping between the two each week.

Listen to music....but the best way is to find someone to run with - have him or her meet you at a certain place at a certain time and then you have to go...it keeps you going.

you need to simply do it....you will find yourself getting used to it, you'll see improvements in your health and it will get addicting.....
and just think of how much better of a player it will make you, because you trained in advance!
