More specifically, what are the best anime songs? I like Ningyo Hime from Chobits. The Inuyasha OST is pretty good too, as is NOIR's.

Personally, I think Escaflowne has one of the best OSTs ever. The music is wonderfully orchestrated and simple beautiful. Of course, the music was done by Yoko Kanno, and from my experience ANYTHING by Yoko Kanno is amazing. The opening song to Escaflowne, "Yakusoku wa Iranai" sung by Maaya Sakamoto, is one of my favorite songs.

I really enjoy the music from .//Hack Sign. Most anime music is good, anyways. Final Fantasy is good too, even though it's not an anime.

fooly cooly (the pillows rock!!)
and Witch Hunter Robin

Including OVA's? "Harmaggedon" and this anime get a prize because it's sountrack, played and composed by Keith Emerson from ELP (Emerson, Lake & Palmer) Hope it would be useful to you!
