There is no option, but when you conduct a search, do not just click on any file to download. Before you check how many sources it has or the quality, look at the size. If you are downloading a song file make sure it is from 3,000 Kb to 7,000 Kb. Viruses on Limewire are usually only 300Kb. Now the virus makers want you to download it so they make it tricky for you. They will try to get it a high rating with lots of sources so you think its a good, fast download. Just look at the size, you will be fine.

Honestly, you should have antivirus and antispam software, at a minimum - be sure to have windows firewall turned on - set up a daily scan at night for your computer. You will probably still get something anyway - because stuff is rampant out there and limewire is a perfect partner in crime for those wanting to do you and your machine harm.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
