Relavancy just means importance, but historical relavancy sort of mean why is it important from a historical point of view. For example, You may be a Boston Red Sox fan and feel that their World series victory is important, but the historical relavancy of the WS win is that they hadn't won in like 90 years, the curse of Babe Ruth and all that. So the Boston massace was important because innocent people were killed, but historically it was relevant because it marked the first time that british soldiers killed colonists. BTW, did you know that John Adams (yes, the patriot, defended the soldiers and got them acquitted?)

Relevance describes how pertinent, connected, or applicable some information is to a given matter. (from Wikipedia).

So, for your question:
"Identify and give the historical relavancy for the Boston Massacre?"

you could discuss how the events at the Boston Massacre are relevant to the surrounding events of the beginning of the Revolutionary War, how they affected rebellious sentiment, and finally, you could tie it to current events - how such a small dispute such as paying a barber's bill can escalate into a huge issue.
