First and foremost, do not trust all answers here on Yahoo! Answers. People who are giving you sites to "remove" your virus may ( not intentionally ) give you a virus. Those programs such as SuperAntiSpyware and Avari are malware in disguise. To keep you system secure, research the programs instead of frantically installing all programs to get rid of the virus. Now here are some things you can use. Once again, if you do not trust me, research them.

To begin this process, we need you to go to www.download.com and install Avast! antivirus and AVG antivirus. Scan with them if they remove it, great if not then...
* Before starting, restart your computer and tap the F8 key to boot up in safe mode. Try Avast and AVG there. If not then do the following.

1. Go to www.housecall.com. It is a site with the best online antivirus scanner from Trend Micro.

2. Scan it if it removes your problem. great if not continue with these steps.

3. Go to www.mcafee.com and find the free online scanner.

4. Go to www.bitdefender.com and try their scanner.

5. If none of the online scanner get rid of the problem, go to www.free-av.com and install AntiVir which is a great, free, antivirus.

6. At this point, if your virus is still not gone, then you have to resort to heavy artilary with a trained professional. Ill give you the basic things you will need then follow onto www.bleepingcomputer.com and post your HJT log there. Ill show you how to do that.

- Search HiJack This
- Install it and go to www.bleepingcomputer.com
- Find the appropriate section and post it there.
- A professional will help you out.

If you'd rather not use this method then there is one, ultimate, virus remover that will get rid of all viruses. You know what that is? A system reformat. System reformat wipes everything out of your hard drive. Note that this will make it how you jut bought your computer with no programs of yours installed. To do this, either

A. Use the recovery CD that came with your computer.
B. When you first start up your computer, tap the F10 and follow onscreen instructions.

try using the ONLINE free scanners from large compnies. They keep changing, but PC Cillin, and Panda, and Norton used to allow you to sign into the website, and get a scan. Some are rip offs since they tell you " you have a virus XXXXX " and then you have to pay to go to the next step, but I have tried a few, and they work.
Go to dogpile.com and search free virus scan to see who is offering what kind of service at this moment - as I said, it keeps changing, so I dont know who is offering what at this moment, but this method
will get rid of the virus, free, now, once.
After that, you have to upgrade your virus protection a bit !
Try free AVG which had free updates, and so far has proved excellent. Try majorgeeks.com for downloads, although it is available in many other places. There are trials that are free as well - typically the 14 day or 30 day trials, that nag you each day to upgrade to the online purchase package, but - in the short term , you would be protected...

good luck..

Before you go nuts and download a bunch of stuff, try and restore your computer to an earlier date first. Can you remember when your first problems occured? If so, choose a date sometime before that. What you need to do is restart your computer. AS SOON AS it begins to restart, start frantically punching the F8 button. You'll get a blak screen that comes up with a bunch of options. Choose "Safe Mode." As your computer desktop begins to showup, you'll get a popup window with along shpiel....click 'no' at the bottom. A window will come up....click next, and then choose a date prior to your problems and begin the restore. The computer will restart automatically. This may get rid of your problems, and you've got nothing to lose by trying this first as it is a completely reversible process.

Easy, when you use the virus scanner it'll give you a thing that looks sort of like this C:/windows/tempfiles/internet or something weird like that. Every slash goes to something else.

For example you go to Your Computer and click on the C: thing and then there should be a windows folder. Click on windows and click on temp files. Click on internet. And then within that passage somewhere along the lines of that lovely passageway that it leads you to is that virus nestled soft and comfy. Right click on him and click send to Recycle bin. Then just delete the stuff in your recycle bin. Bye bye virus. Hello nice clean computer.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus and protect your PC. but you need to pay for that.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Yes download AVG or WINXP VIR and use them to rid the virus. In fact, it is smart to use atleast 2 AV programs on your PC. What one doesn't catch the other one will. NOTE: Before running your other AV program be sure to click Start>Run>MSCONFIG and then click on the SERVICES tab and then click on the checkbox "HIDE ALL MICROSOFT APPLICATIONS" and uncheck that AV's service from running. You don't want both AV programs Services running at the same time, could cause your system to crash.
