Not much. Here it is $2.13 an hour plus tips.

A restaurant doesn't pay any server very much $, because they take out some of the money they should pay, due to the tips the server will be getting.

Also, higher end restaurants will typically pay more than minimum wage. I once worked at a bar where I made $3.50 per hour plus tips! My wife had a waitress job that started at $4.50 in a small town steakhouse in Wyoming.

As little as they can legally get away with.
Tip your server; it's part of the deal when you eat out. If there is a problem with
A. the food
B. the service
C. the ambiance
talk to the Manager, don't stiff the poor server

4 Dollars an hour but tips are not included in the hourly pay. They live on tips. But that is far under minimum wage. If they claim all their tips the government takes a big chunk of their money they only claim some of their tips.

Minimum wage is a national, not regional thing. Unless the company you work for is a mom & pop owned business, it is almost guaranteed you're getting paid minimum wage. And that amount is $2.13/hour plus tips. Now, bartenders, busboys, hostesses get paid different amounts.

Now do you know why that lady at IHOP is always in such a bad mood?

In Ontario, Canada... one dollar less than minimum wage. Server wage=slave labour.

min wage, which in Cali is 6.75 hour. But once tips are claimed, it turns out to be like 3.00 an hour plus tips.

in houston i got paid $2.13 an hour plus tips....not nearly enough!!!!
