The words of many liberal polit-hacks and pundits have fallen under Seditious speach and treasonous speach, according to the US Consititution. However, what many people forget is that freedom of speech does not extend beyond the safety of this country. In other words, you do NOT have the right to say whatever you want if what you say provides aid and comfort to the enemy, which is what many politicians/pundits have done: Bill Maher, Michael Moore, Al Franken (and Air America in General), Dick Durbin, Patrick Leahy, etc...
US Constitution Article 3 Section 3:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
I can say without dispute that many things they have said publicly both here and ABROAD fall under 'adhering to the enemy, and giving aid and comfort'.
Dissent is the highest form of patriotism, true, however, when your dissent calls for the defeat of this nation, you have crossed the line from 'patriotic dissent' to treason. Just go to some of the 'anitwar' rallies, if you want to see traitors! It's really a pity that only one amendment of the entire constitution is ever cited by everyone, instead of examining the rest of the constitution and applying the first amendment.

Interesting that you ask a question and then answer it, with a slight twist.
Anything the Democrats could say about this administration can not hold a candle to what this administration is doing for the United States image. We have always been considered "the ugly American" in parts of the world but I think that has only been amplified.
The Bush administration had a golden opportunity to unite the world against terrorism following 9/11. They chose to find a reason and then fight a real war that has not only not brought terrorism to a halt it has made it far worse. The people of IRAQ did not deserve what has happened to them.
If you doubt that our attacking IRAQ was a bad idea consider what our president was forced to call our coalition to fight that war.
Not a global coalition, not a NATO coalition, but the coalition of the willing. "The Willing". Is that a good thing?
So fear not what the Democrats may say, fear what the republicans will do to try to stay in power.

Yes, it does undermine the whole USA and other countries have a field day with it. It sucks and it's sad, but unless they are in the military and go to far, they are definitely not traitors. That is what our military has always fought for is free speech.
They people have every right and it is their duty to question their government. Otherwise we would be no better than the countries that kill those for speaking against the government.

Yes, but the United States is and always has been an open society where people are free to believe as they choose and express their beliefs. I may not agree with them, but I wouldn't want to give up my right to express my beliefs. However, I do wish some people would do more research into the facts, use a little more common sense, and exercise better judgment.

That is traitors. Yes, our President is being undermined in world opinion by rash statements by Democrats & then he is criticized because other countries appear to not like us. I hope everyday
that love of country will bring us together during war times. It always has in the past except Vietnam & we know how well those protests worked.

No, my dear, The terrible comments come from average folks like you and I.. More likely than not they would identify as democratic... but If the bureaucrats in the White house really wanted to "undermine" anything they would do more than leave comments. Traders? no no.. Do you remember what the constitution says? Does anyone remember what a democracy is supposed to be???? In a true democracy anyone may try to "undermine" the tyrant in office.. especially if the people are being threatened out of power.. Our power is reduced to leaving comments that make no f*cking difference. I wonder if George Washington would be proud of our present day politics?

No the comments are not all made by Democrats, but by normal everyday people world wide who watches all the bad things this man has done or not done. He will go down in history as our worst President by all of his own actions. It really is a shame because he could have and should have done better for our nation of all of the people and not just his chosen few. He really let down the American people and the world by his actions, and words.

I suppose you can call many of the Bush opposition a " trader" . I can only hope our hateful " Negitive" comments about the pResident will serve to undermine him further.

Try spell-check next time.
Negative comments by Democrats do NOTHING to decrease our standing - plenty of other countries hate us for the President's actions (and his complicit Republican base). The fact that a portion of the country will stand up and say "this is stupid, we should get out of Iraq" actually makes us look BETTER to the world.

Well...I must confess to Democratic tendencies...but even I thought they sounded like whiners.
Sigh....
I just wish they would all get off the stump and get something done.
