WHY Ellen Pompeo is not special at all in "Grey's Anatomy"

Just a guess (I don't watch the show)--she's probably not a very good actor, but she got on because she fit a certain physical type that they were looking for. The acting business is filled with actors who can't act, but they get by because of their physical appearance. Take Bo Derek, she definitely can't act, but she was a stunner in her day, and Hollywood made a very big deal over her. Now she's closing in on 50, but she can still turn heads, and thus became a focal point for Fashion House.

i think shes awesome in greys. i love her narrative at the end of each show & her interaction with izzy and george's character
