I edited an extremely insultingly inaccurate article on w. My results appeared for a little bit, but two hours later I checked back to the page, and it’s back to its original state. But it doesn’t look like the person changed it again, because everything is word for word, and why would someone erase my more accurate edited version of the article? Also, the original article was written quite a while back so it’s pretty unlikely that the original author was able to catch it that soon. What’s going on here? I know I shouldn’t get too upset because pretty much the whole website is slanted or inaccurate. But I just wanted to defend the dignity of the subject.

I think Wikipedia changed their policy and now all changes get reviewed by somebody before they are made permanent. Contact Wikipedia to see what they say.

Either it is an automated bot that is trying to preserve one version, or a person actually changed it back. Since it allows anyone to edit, it could be just someone who doesn't like your changes

Wikipedia is monitored by individuals and maybe what you wrote was not what they considered to be correct in their standards
