it sounds like you have nerve damage to the common peroneal nerve, which runs on the outside of your leg around the knee. it divides into the deep peroneal nerve which controls the muscle for toe-tapping, and sensation to the top of the foot, and the superficial peroneal nerve, which gives you some sensation to the top of your foot. there may have been undue pressure on the nerve while you slept, or a virus could have found a home there.

talk to your doctor.

The cat will land on its feet. Because: 1. The weight ratio of the toast and butter is less than the ratio compared to the cat. 2. The toast may slide a bit, but it is certain the cat will land feet first. This is because the cat has more mass, and unlike the toast, it is animate. It can choose where it wants to land. 3. The toast will not influence the animal a lot, if any. The cat will most likely eat the toast than land on its feet.

This condition is referred to as "FOOT DROP"... it is due to an injury of some type (even just constant "awkward" pressure) to a nerve. Can be caused from a compressed nerve root in your lower lumbar spine due to a ruptured lumbar disk or injury.
Can also be caused from constant pressure or an injury to the paroneal nerve in your lower leg. Either way, consult with a doctor; a neuro doc or an orthopedist...HAVE IT CHECKED, could become permanent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long has it been like this? Go see someone to be sure there's no nerve damage.
