I recycle old aluminum gas grill housings, and i was thinking of creating a bucket full of the old brass controls from the grills i pick up to recycle too. Is it really worth it?

Brass is a very good value right now and solids are certainly worth recycling.

Brass is expensive. All metals has a recycle value.

Yes. It has some copper in it along with aluminum but it is all recyclable..Go for it!

copper @ today price is $3.43 lb . Brass is cu 3( copper ) zn 2 ( zinc ) so its has $2.83 of copper in each lbs . @ a scrap yard you get $ 1.20 ish a lbs for brass .

where i recycle, clean brass is as good as clean aluminum. i would say so.

yes, & the amount depends on where you live. I work at a wrecking yard in So.Cal., and we save almn., brass, copr., lead...........
