I just found one in my house, and I don't know weather or not to pick it up.

No, they are not.
Just take a paper grocery bag, use a broom or something to "encourage" the praying mantis to go in the bag, then just take it outside and let the praying mantis wander out when it is ready.

They are harmless and eat other bugs.

Its not going to be easy to pick it up.

Trap it with an upside down cup maybe.

Not poisonous - but they bite the head off their mate after the deed is done. I think the females kill the male...if only that were an option for humans.. LOL.

They look pretty evil don't they?? But don't worry, their bite is less menacing than a mosquito bite. They are quite helpful, they eat bugs off your plants, flys, and will do battle with non-poisoning spiders, and will win. Just take a tissue and very easily surround the little thing, and put it outside.Scarey and give you the willys, but they are harmless.

No. But do NOT try to pick it up, as you will probably injure it! Just kinda push it into a bag or glass and watch it. It is fascinating to look at it's triangular head and eyes, etc. Be kind and release into wild.

Not poisonous. Get a stick and it will crawl on it then carry it outside. They LOVE mosquitoes to eat.

Yeah, pick it up, you'll be fine. They do bite, but I doubt it will bite you. Pick it up with a newspaper or something and put it outside. They eat aphids and other garden pests and you will love having it in your yard to keep you bug free.

I think they are not poisonous. They are spider killers too but should be doing their work outside.

I've never been bitten by one. Just pick it up, you'll be fine.
