The link below is titled AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE AGAINST IRAQ RESOLUTION OF 2002. It is a joint resolution of congress. Some people consider it a declaration of war. Others don't. The Constitution does not say what constitutes a declaration of war.

No. The last time the US declared war on a country was in 1941.

Of course not...then they would have to put their votes where their mouths are and take the blame for this screwed up war. Now they can just sit and happily lay all the blame on the President.
Our Congress is staffed with nothing but spineless men and women who refuse to take a stand that could be used against them. So they end up standing for nothing.
Only the Congress has the Constitutional Authority to commit this nation to war....but these cowards surrendered their authority to the President.
I have no respect for our leaders in Washington.
As much as I dislike President Bush, you have to respect that he takes a stand and puts it out there for everyone to see. In that respect he has more dignity than any of our Senators and Congressmen.

no, congress never declared the war official. so technically, we are not at war. this is yet another reason why it is unjust fighting

No, they have authorized military action and have appropriated money for it but have never officially declared war.
