If you can stand it a cold shower (the colder the water the better) is healthier for you!
It may take some getting used to but in the long run you will be better off for the cold torture!

Taking a cold shower is better for your hair, because the really hot water can dry it out and damage it.
Hot water opens pores
Cold water closes them
Cold water can be refreshing while hot water can feel warm and cozy.
It depends on what kind of mood you're in, the weather, time of day.
Its almost always a good idea to keep your shower warm(not too hot, just moderately warm) and turn it cold for the last minute or so. It is very refreshing, closes your pores, refreshes your body, soothes(and straightens) your hair, and overall is a really cool thing to do.

I prefer hot showers but a cold shower doesn't dry the skin as much as hot--heat is drying. But since one can put the moisture right back with a good moisturizer isn't that big of a deal but a matter of preference. One is not better than the other as far a health benefits. The heat does open pores more so if lotion applied will penetrate faster.

Like everything else in life, moderate is best. Very very hot and very cold are not good for your hair or skin, and probably not so great for your nerves or heart either. You can't go wrong with something in the neighborhood of your own body temp (98.6 F)

One exception...a rinse of your hair with ice cold water will make your hair extra-shiny. I always do this when I am dressing up to go somewhere, and it really is noticeable. You can do this without subjecting the rest of your body to the cold if you have long hair like I do.

Cold is better for your hair and muscles. It cleans the bad oil out of your hair, and relieves more strain on the muscles then heat. But its COLD :) A hot shower is good for your sinuses and for your skin, and is more relaxing to your mind then a freezing cold shower. So i guess i depends.... hope that helps! :)

You save energy on your hot water bill.

Less likely to dry your skin.

May not be as clean.

actually taking a lukewarm one is healthier because it doesn't shock your system, when you raise or lower you body temperature the body has to work harder to regulate itself, remember we're supposed to be at a stable temperature...............the same is true on things we drink tepid is best .
