the first thing I would try is rubbing cooking oil all over the surface of the tape especially around the edges wait a few seconds it should just peal up with no scratching, if that does not work then try the goo gone.

You can use rubbing alcohol to remove it or get Goo Gone. Goo Gone works great, and it doesn't take very much. I'm still using the bottle I bought about 10 years ago.

Here is the list. Goo Gone , Goof Off , WD-40 , OOPS , rubbing alcohol , lighter fluid. There are others but these are the most common ones and I am sure that you have at least one of these on hand.

I was going to say the same thing as raiden... Goo Gone is made to remove such things. You can get it in any hardware store or maybe even a grocery store cleaning product isle.

Goo-gone We use it on the glass mirrors and windows in our classrooms if the tape leaves a residue from craft projects we've hung there.

any ordinary house cleaning product will do it, the key is to use the scrubby side of your sponge to cut through the glue. Make sure not to use a metal scrub pad as it will scratch your appliance. Good luck!!
