Thought I could save a couple of dollars gluing a detached sole onto the shoe, (one of my most favorites)

Guess I used too much because now there's what looks like 'nilla marshmallow yet harder than cement clumps attached to the perimeter of the sole of the shoe.

Is there any hope to "fix" the shoe?????

according to the bottle it says you can use paint thinner, or use a chisel or scrapper,When you get most of it off then use sandpaper, to smooth it all.
