I used to drive big rigs and I can tell you that there is no particular region where truckers come from and there is no particular kind of person that becomes a trucker. It is as varied an occupation as any... perhaps more than any.

Try an american state site that will list the percentages of employment in a certain field in your case truck driving

all over its not a region specific career people in every town around have this for a job from long haul to your local guys driving a route
