not something will ensue in 2012 as not something befell in 1988 and in 1999 (or all the different dates from 1877 to 1994 while some almost thirty diverse circumstances JWs predicted the top of the international). i will clarify: Nostradamus became not a prophet. A prophet is individual who speaks for God. Nostradamus claimed to be a "seer," individual who can 'see' destiny activities. His 'real' call became "Michel de Notredame" and his kin have been Jewish yet switched over to Catholicism and assumed the call "Notredame" that's French for "Our lady." Nostradamus became his Latin pen call. in case you have not guessed by ability of now it additionally ability... Our lady. Nostradamus wrote his 'prophecies, predictions, despite you desire to call them,' in quatrains that are merely 4 verse poems imprecise and concern to misinterpretation or 'interpretation' by ability of people who desire to in good shape the form to the prediction. Why do human beings even nevertheless talk of Nostradamus after his prediction for the year 1999? How quickly we ignore that Nostradamus predicted that for the period of 1999: FROM THE SKY WILL COME "the excellent KING OF TERROR?" What befell in 1999? not something. comparable as that DOOMS DAY prediction from the Eighteen Eighties, "88 clarification why THE RAPTURE would be IN 88" What befell? not something, different than that the the author of 88 motives made some money along with his phony predictions and by way of his lifetime the previous surgeon Michel de Notradame made money publishing his quatrains. while will human beings learn? I don't know about the accuracy of Nostradamus. I certainly don't know if the world will end on 2012. As in all prediction, there are many ways in which an incident can be synch up with a prediction and 'voila' the prediction is true!!!
Currently, there are many incidents happening in the world - as you pointed out...and the pro-Nostradamus are finding ways to intrepret all his wordings to support the incident and then lead us to believe that the coming of the end of the world.
I don't think I answered your question directly yet. Ask it again in 2012 and the answer will be evident. :)
Good luck.

Yeah, SUPPOSED prophet.
I think we will burn ourselves out almost and eventually HAVE to change and (strange as it sounds) turn into peaceful, productive people. Although maybe not by 2012.
I don't think any more big wars will happen or global warming will get THAT bad.

Even with all that I'd probably survive. Northeast Wyoming is the last place they'd nuke or terror attack. And we don't border a coast so no worry about ice cap melting.
