Hi. He was a gigantic jerk. Any person who has any class at all will at least acknowledge another human being if she speaks to them. I would do that for the craziest person on the street! You are right to feel angry. You should NOT internalize this. This is not about you. It is about him. His rude and insensitive behavior, that's the point. You were just trying to be nice.

Trust me, he's the jerk, and not worth your time. It's happened to me many times in the 40 + years of my life. The good thing about it is that you discovered that he's a jerk before you got yourself too involved. There are many nice guys out there, unfortunately, often it's the jerks that are outwardly dashing, handsome and attractive, and its those jerks that ruin it for the nice guys that could bring you much happiness. Forget about this guy and move on. The perfect person for you could be just around the corner.
