1) Every time I shave I have this red and black dots on my legs and it really doesn't look good, how can I make my legs look smooth?
2) when I shave I have small points that bleed, what am I doing wrong and how to prevent it?
3) Every time I shave with shaving gel, I get all the cream and hair stuck between the blades, any tips to clean it?
As you can understand shaving is not my strong point but I am scared so badly of waxing...
Thanx a lot!!!!!

Is it better to shave before or after sitting in the sun to tan?

I agree about the goosebumps. If your bath or shower water is warm and air is cool when you are shaving you legs, you will get goosebumps.

Try using hair conditioner instead of shave gel. Your legs will be really smooth, and the blade just may slide a little more gently. (make sure you rinse the shower floor after, others will not be happy if they slip.Trust me on that one!)

Tap your razor, the razor head, not the blades, on the bowl on your sink in the bathroom and rinse out the loose hair. Tap till clean. (I don't like waxing either.)

You're getting the red and black dots from shaving the same place more than once. That's razor burn. I know because I was doing the same thing when I was a teenager. Make sure you're rinsing your legs well when you're done.

Make smooth, firm, even strokes and don't go over the same area again. Don't wiggle or tilt the razor to the side - you'll cut yourself and bleed.

After every swipe hold the razor under the faucet to clean it off. The water should be turned up high.

1. Ok, so Ive never seen black dots, but I used to get red dots like this all the time. I know everybody says to not shave dry, but if your skin is real dry, even under water its like its dry. Try putting non scented lotion all over your legs before and after you shave; this helps alot. Then, while shaving use lots of soap. As in, completely lather up your leg, then make one stroak with the blade. Then completely lather your leg and make one stroak a little to the left of that one. Continue til done. Yeah, its time consuming, but I had the same problem and my friends are envious of my beautiful legs now.
2. I think this is the same thing as before. Just do like I said above.
3. Everyone else pretty much went off on this one, so there isnt much else to say.

1&2: Either you have lots of goosebumps on your legs and you're shaving them off, or you just have bumpy skin and you're shaving off the top of the bumps.
3: I have this same problem. I have a multi-blade razor and I just put it about an inch from my mouth and blow CAREFULLY between the blades very hard. It takes out the clog.

I don't want to wax either, I hope this helps!

waxing doesn't hurt that badly, try it.

soak your legsin warm water for a bit before shaving to soften up the hairs. don't push so hard on the blade. and just use a new blade every 2-3 times.

You may be allergic to the blades, I am allergic to many. I can always tell, red bumps show up immediately, never had black bumps though. Try a different kind of blades and I use a moisturising body wash to shave with. I know they say not too, but it works for me. Peace.

i shave my legs with lotion , i don't cut myself shaving anymore or get any red dots it also moisturises my skin. for #2 you could take your time ( you are probably shaving to fast ) .
and as for #3 you could shake your razor in a cup of water or rinse it under your faucet under full pressure...then wipe it off with a thick towel going against the blades...
-good luck

Good luck.I don't know where the dots come from. Maybe you are pressing too hard, to cause the bleeding. I just use plain soap, after I wet my legs, no gel; and a razor for women.

The razor "Intuition" works fantastic. Especialy if you're in a hurry. You might try exfoliating your legs first before you shave to get smoother results and less bumps.
